Data Recovery SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB

Sandisk Pluss Data Recovery

Todays Data Recovery is from a failed SanDisk SSD Plus with 240GB capacity. Client tried to use software to recover data but no joy. The SanDisk SSD plus is not a great SSD drive to recover. 50% of all cases it only produces fair or poor results. The reason this type of SSD is failing and requires Data Recovery are worn out NAND chips that cause a lot of errors during the read out. The drive wont show up on a computer anymore and requires some magic from us to get the data back If you have a failed Sandisk Pluss SSD and you need your Data back contact us today for more information. We offer a professional Sandisk Plus SSD Data Recovery Service.

The confidentiality and security of your recovered data is our highest priority

When it comes to data, time is crucial. The longer you wait, the less chance you have of a successful outcome. Do not delay; contact me now for a quote…

The most common SanDisk issue we have when we receive a SanDisk SSD Plus for data recovery is because the SSD is not being detected by the computer or your Apple device.  This is because the SSD is stuck in a panic busy state where it is unable to fully load the firmware from the service areas on the NAND chips

In most data recovery cases, with the use of expensive data recovery tools (PC3000 SSD), we are able to gain access to the user data by forcing the drive into safe mode, loading some custom firmware through a loader file  and then virtually creating a translator (part of the firmware necessary to access the user data).

After this, we attempt to clone the Sandisk SSD plus nand sectors of the drive which contain user data.  Unfortunately, this is a lot easier said than done for Data Recovery

Sadly, in most cases we have encountered with the Sandisk SSD plus Data Recovery, we are lucky to read 45-50% of the sectors without errors, leaving us with 50-55% of the sectors unreadable, somewhat like the image further below with about 70% read on the first pass.

Lets get started with our SanDisk Data Recovery. First step is to allow us to upload a custom firmware into the SanDisk SSD to get access to the translator. Step 1. Factory mode. A simple short on 2 pins allows us to get it booting again with a controller waiting for a new firmware

Jumper set, all good to go for data recovery

Sandisk SSD Plus was taken out of the enclosure and 2 pins bridged to allow us to access safe mode. Next step we use custom software to work on this drive and connected it to one of our data recover machines.

SSD is getting ready now and you can see it is in safe mode. Time to upload the custom firmware for this beauty.

Custom firmware uploaded Sandisk Plus

Custom firmware uploaded and ready to create a translator. We need a working translator to perform any data recovery and to access the customer data

Sandisk plus SSD Data Recovery degraded nand chips

Not looking to good here for this Sandisk SSD Data Recovery. The green areas are data blocks that can be read without errors, the block areas are badly worn out and degraded. We need to try a reread later on to get access data too. This problem is very common with Sandisk SSD plus drives and 50% of Sandisk Plus SSD drives we get in are even in worst shape for Data Recovery.

Sandisk Plus Data Recovery , file list goal

With some more data recovery tricks & magic we now have access to the customer data and can start imaging the SanDisk SSD plus. Due to the damage on the Nand chips and the safe mode with custom firmware we can read at around 0.5mb/s so the 102GB data in the Desktop folder will take about 3 days to read out. Data Recovery = patience and a lot of very special expensive tools and solutions to get your important customer data back.

To get the ball rolling, you simply contact us or create a ticket on our data recovery support site and then get your SSD to our data recovery lab for the free assessment and we’ll take it from there.
